This is a hand carved wooden looking glass/ hand mirror. It is dated 1896 and inscribed Till Gustaf (to Gustaf).
The mirror is in great condition for its age only showing some tiny spots of age the wood has a lovely patina on the handle. It is made out of oak.
On the back of the mirror there is an inscription that says: "minne av Anton W....."
(Remember Anton W....)
I can't for sure make out the last name on the back of the mirror, but is most likely the maker of the mirror who has gifted this to "Gustaf" in 1896.
Whenever I find treasures like this I always imagine the story behind it. The time and skill that must have gone into this is humbling.
This is a true piece of Swedish history and would make a great present for someone in your life that appreciates hand carved antiques.

What shipping options are there?
All items are shipped with Post Nord and sent standard mail if they are under 2kg. If you would like insurance and a tracking number for your package you must purchase one at the checkout. I am not responsible for late or missing packages without tracking numbers.
I am happy to combine shipping and will refund any shipping overages directly.
Please note if your package is delayed it can be for a number of reasons with the postoffices in contact with the package. See the guidelines below from when the post office considers an item officially "lost".

Mirror could not have been more carefully packed for overseas transport. Also sent with a personal note and artistic package wrapping details. It was as much a joy to receive as it is to own.
