This is a stunning vase designed and signed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta Boda Sweden.
Lindstrand was a leading designer of midcentury modern glass art and this signed piece of his can be found on the cover of the Scandinavian book entitled "Smoke and Ice" featured inside as well. This would be a great addition to any collection.
The vase itself is in very good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. There is one small surface scratch near the base that I can find see the close-up photo, it was hard to catch in the photo. There is also the expected bottom surface marks where the glass has rubbed against the surface it has stood on.
The vase measures 20cm tall and 12 cm at its widest point. It weighs just over 2.5 kg.
Bring some Scandinavian modern art into your space today and admire how this seemly simple piece can be enjoyed from so many different angles. It truly is a beauty.
These vases/series are difficult to come by even here in southern Sweden where we are so close to Kosta Boda's glassworks. Don't miss this opportunity to own such a great piece of his glass art.
